Keeping our Kids Safe on the Net

We at Silo Wireless feel it is important that all family members know how to enjoy a positive and safe Internet experience.

In today's day and age the Internet has become an almost necessary tool for children at home and at school. Although the Internet poses most definite safety challenges for our children, it can be a positive experience.

As parents, we need to educate ourselves and our children as to the dangers of the Internet. As a rule, children should NEVER reveal personal information about themselves or other family members without their parent's consent.

Let your children know what is considered to be "personal information", and advise them of the risks involved in providing this type of information on the Internet.

Most importantly, be involved in your children's Internet activities, check out the sites they are visiting, check your history often, ask lots of questions and show them plenty of guidance.
