How Does It Work?

In place of a traditional land line, Silo Phone uses VOIP (voice over IP) technology through your Internet connection.  The phone service does not require your computer to be turned on, or need any special phones to work.  Simply take the VOIP adapter we ship to your home and plug it directly into your Internet connection.  Then connect your computer (or router, if you have one) to the VOIP adapter.  You can either directly plug your telephone into the VOIP adapter, or you can opt to tie Silo Phone into the existing phone wiring already part of your home*.

Once you've plugged everything in- that's it!  Use Silo Phone exactly as you did your old land line... except you never have to worry about staying on the phone too long, or if your friend in the next town over is going to be 'long distance' or not.  Manage over a dozen free calling features through our User Portal to tailor the service to your specific needs.
