I grew up on a farm near Rockton Ontario. I know what hard work is and I thank my parents everyday for teaching me the value of it. For over 25+ years I have been in the Internet technology field. From being involved with a dial-up ISP, web design and business networking solutions my entrepreneurial career has lead me to where I am today, the founder of Silo Wireless. The company was born out of a need, the need for Internet connectivity in rural Ontario. Silo just celebrated our 10th anniversary in 2017 and we look forward to introducing many new products and next generation products in the years to come.

What does being a part of the Silo team mean to you?

Making a difference in the communities we serve provides me with immense satisfaction. Being able to provide individuals in our community with employment, creating a culture of caring and always looking forward to the future keeps my passion for what we do alive.

One day my husband came to me with a seemingly crazy idea and before long we partnered up and Silo Wireless was born - Andreas with the technical knowledge as well as entrepreneurial spirit, and me with a background in bookeeping, customer service and administration.  I believe that the heart of any successful business is exceptional customer service and a superior product or service. From day one we, along with our team, have done our best to provide this.

Outside of Silo, I am the proud mother to Devon and proud stepmother to Anthony and Avery.

These boys sure make life interesting!

I enjoy travelling, volunteering, cheering on my son and his basketball team, spending time with family/friends and expressing my creative side through scrapbooking and interior decorating/design.

As Silo Wireless' first outside hire, I joined the team 8 months in and brought a background in small business development. Over the years I have had experience fulfilling different roles at Silo, and the fortunate opportunity to help shape things along the way. Most would agree that, in general, Telecommunications is an industry where complacency is par for the course. I am proud to be part of a company that has always challenged this notion, seeing constant opportunity to stand apart from our competitors and provide our customers with an experience they can't get anywhere else. As the average household's use of the Internet constantly grows and evolves this can be a challenge, but our team is always up for it! When I'm not working you might find me out for a run, pretending to be a photographer, or spending time with my beautiful little family.

What does being a part of the Silo team mean to you?

Bringing connectivity to under-serviced communities has always been incredibly rewarding, but as our company grows I have really enjoyed giving back to the communities we service in other ways such as charity initiatives and job creation

I have been with Silo Wireless for many years and I have been fortunate to see and be a part of its growth. I have a background in Networking and Design and was for a brief time the sole support tech- now I  supervise the whole support team.

I started at Silo 6 years ago because I wanted to work for a small family owned company. When I'm not working I love to be outside. I love to hunt, garden (I try to produce as much of our own food as possible), go for hikes and on camping trips. I am a member of a local gun range where I volunteer as a range officer and occasionally volunteer to supervise a youth skeet shooting group.
